Wiggly worms

“Nervous System (Portrait of the Last One Left)”
Meet the worm. He’s jittery, squiggly, and terrified of literally everything.
Loud noises? Hide. Social interaction? Panic.
He lives in a constant state of what now?!

He’s not glamorous. He’s not brave.
But plot twist —
he’s the boss.

This anxious little nerve is the final thread holding it all together.
Twitchy, twitching, tired — but trying.
He may be scared out of his tiny mind,
but somehow, he still runs the whole operation.

A tribute to the unsung, overworked, overly dramatic hero inside us all.

It’s like I know I shouldn’t be afraid all the time. but I am. The little guy running my inner system is overloaded. I do know that. but how do you tell him to take a break, when your entire person is built on overworking?
